Abstract:Between July 2u-22,2001,the State Administration of Work Safety orga nized a national work safety special improvement program symposium at Beijing Xijiao Hotel.Representatives at the meeting are leaders from the departments of the State Administration of Work Safety and work safety departments of the various provinces, autonomous regions,municipalities directly under the Central Government and so on. This is the first national meeting organized ever since the establishment of the State Administration of Work Safety.During the meeting,our staff reporter had a special inter- view with Zhang Baoming,Director-general of the State Administration of Work Safety. Zhang answered questions raised by our reporter,and further elaborated on his impor- tant ideas and Work plan regarding five safety improvement measures which he pro- posed in his report.
