试论环境问题的社会维度

The Social Dimension of Environmental Problems

环境问题有两个联系密切但又不能简单等同的维度 ,即生态维度与社会维度。由于造成环境破坏的人类活动都是具体的个人与群体在特定的社会价值观的引导下 ,以特定的社会组织为依托而进行的 ,所以对环境问题除了生态维度外必须对其社会维度也有很好的把握 ,才可能找到较为切实可行的措施来加以解决。生态价值论与社会生态学作为环境哲学中的两个重要流派 ,都为我们审视环境问题的社会维度提供了有用的视角。

There are two dimensions of the environmental problems,namely the ecological dimension and the social dimension,which,although intimately related,cannot be simply equated with each other.Because the human activities leading to environmental disruptions are all carried out by particular individuals or groups guided by specific socially defined values and in specific social organizational context,feasible and practicable measures for solving environmental problems can be worked out only if we have a good grasp on the social as well as the ecological dimension of these problems.As two important schools in environmental philosophy,ecological axiology and social ecology provide some useful perspectives for examining the social dimension of environmental problems.
