The Archaean Jiaodong group metamorphic rocks, the Yanshanian metasomatic-anatectic granites, the Neocathaysian fault system and beresitization are closely related to the gold ore deposits in the N-W Jiaodong Penisula. The Jiaodong group is considered to be the source bed. The granites not only caused the remobilization of gold but also serve as the secondary source bed. The Neocathaysian faults are the structutes as pathway for ore fluids and the host structures for gold ores. Beresitization furnishes the adequate physical and chemical environment for gold precipitation. Therefore, they are metallogenic factors of gold deposits and comprehensive indicators(criteria) for gold prospecting in the area.
