Analysis and Comparison of the Schemes in a Campus Network Project

提出校园网的应用需求 ,结合当今被普遍采用的主要技术措施及相关计算、测试手段 ,分析比较校园网中常用的ATM技术与千兆位以太网技术在不同需求中的应用效果 ,展现出千兆位以太网在今后校园网建设中更加广泛的应用前景。

Campus networks are widely used at schools. They usually are composed of four parts: a school management information system, a teaching service system, a technique supporting system and a public information consulting system. Application effects of ATM technology and Gigabyte Ethernet in different requests are analyzed and compared. It is pointed out that the Gigabyte Ethernet will be widely used in campus network construction.
