Primary Report on Experiment, Demonstration and Extension of E-yu 10, a New Maize Variety

鄂玉十号 1999年 3月通过湖北省农作物品种审定委员会审定 ,2 0 0 0年 6月通过国家初审 ,被农业部列为重点推广品种 ,同年获国家农作物新品种二等奖 ,成为湖北省唯一获奖的玉米品种。该品种在湖北房县经三年试验、二年示范、一年大面积推广 ,不仅创造了单产 90 3.2 5 kg/ 667m2 的湖北省玉米高产新记录 ,而且还取得了大面积平衡增产 。

E yu 10, a key commercial variety recommended by the State Ministry of Agriculture, was approved by Hubei Committee of Crop Variety Examination in March, 1999 and initially approved by the State in June, 2000 and was awarded the second prize of the State at the same time, which is the only prize for the maize variety in Hubei. The new yield record of 13548.75kg/ha in Hubei and balanced increasing yield on a large area were gained throughout three years' experiment, two years' demonstration and one year's extension on a large area in Fang county. The characteristics of the variety and its cultivation technique are well mastered.
