The concept of contract comes from the social and economic system, and is used to distinguish and connect each unit of these systems. This paper uses the concept of contract as a fundamental rule in the process of digital city software architecture's abstraction, and than makes digital city software architecture richer in semantic,and shorten the distance between problem domain and result software system.The practice has proved that this pattern can effectively guarantee the openness,extensibility and system sustainable development.
