介绍了“绿色城市设计”的产生背景、发展现状和存在的问题 .通过分析地理信息系统 (GIS)的空间数据管理、空间数据分析和建立应用模型等功能 ,从理论上说明GIS能为“绿色城市设计”提供强有力的技术手段和决策支持 .并初步探索了GIS在“绿色城市设计”

The background, present status and problems in development of green urban design are introduced. With the anatomy of such functions of geographic information system(GIS) as spatial data management, spatial data analysis, and establishing application models, this paper illustrates theoretically that GIS can provide green urban design with powerful technological means and decision support. Finally, applications of GIS to green urban design are explored primarily.
