临床观察发现 :血管紧张素 (Ang )对心脏产生毒副作用 ,Ang 是肾素 -血管紧张素系统 (RAS)中的关键因子 ,RAS是一个酶促连锁反应系统 ,在调节血压、维持体液平衡中起到关键作用。多项临床试验表明 Ang 受体拮抗剂可用于治疗高血压、充血性心力衰竭、心肌肥厚及急性心肌梗塞。其降压效果与血管紧张素转换酶 -抑制剂(ACE- I)、β-受体阻断剂、钙拮抗剂、利尿剂疗效相当 ;但对于充血性心力衰竭的治疗 ,除患者对其耐受性好外 ,目前尚无证据表明其疗效优于 ACE-

Clinical observations showed that angiotensin Ⅱ (AngⅡ) has deleterious effects on the heart and it also is the key factor of rennin-angiotensin system(RAS).RAS is an enzymatic cascade,which adjust blood pressure,keep the balance of fluid.A lot of studies have demonstrated that Ang Ⅱ receptor antagonists can be used for the treatment of patients with hypertension,congestive heart failure,ventricular hypertrophy and acute myocardial infarction.Ang Ⅱ receptor antagonists is as effective as ACE in hibitors,β blockers,calcium antagonists and diuretics.No evidence shows that Ang Ⅱ antagonists are superior to ACE I inhibitors except their excellent tolerability profile in patiants with congestive heart failure.
