包头震群序列特征

The Sepuential Feature of the Cluster in Baotou Area in 1989

通过对1989年2～3月间包头震群序列特征的研究,认为该震群属普通震群活动。据这次震群发生的特殊部位以及烈度分布特征的分析指出,它的出现将可能直接影响到整个阴山带东、西两端的地震活动,或使某端地震活动明显强增或发生中强地震。

Having studied the sequential features of the cluster in Baotou area from Feb.to Mar., 1989, the author concluded that the cluster belongs to common ones.According to the special position of it and analysis of the features of the distribution of it, the author points out that its occurrance is likely to affect directly the earthquake activities at the east and west ends of the whole Yinshan zone or enables the activities at either end to increase obviously or cause mid-strong earthpuakes to occur.
