摘要
从空间视角切入 ,小说《子夜》中的上海可以被解读为一个意象化的空间世界。由都市上海、吴公馆和主人公吴荪甫的私人书房等几个重要的空间意象 (群 )构成的这个开放性的空间系统 ,在不同人物的不断参与和介入中被改写 ,并由此呈现出鲜明的自我分裂特质。以吴荪甫为中心建立起来的空间意象世界的最终崩溃 ,可以看出茅盾着意表现的 30年代初上海民族工业必然失败的多重原因。
Observed from the space perspective, Shanghai in the novel The Midnight can be interpreted as a world of space teemed with images. The open space system constructed by metropolitan Shanghai, Wu's residence and the hero Wu Sunfu's study is transformed by the constant participation of different characters, presenting itself a clear feature of self splitting. The collapse of the image world centered around Wu Sunfu is an indication that the national industries in the early 20s in Shanghai would meet their unavoidable destruction.
