摘要
茅盾的《子夜》比较客观地展示了众多女性在 30年代上海上流社会中的现实处境和内心波澜。茅盾遵循男性叙事的传统 ,动用了过多的理性思维 ,无意中简化了女性的生活。先在的主题 ,严密的构思 ,使小说的文学审美价值大打折扣。茅盾的女性们或多或少地带上了神话的色彩 。
In The Midnight, Mao Dun presents the readers an objective picture of the many women in the upper class of the 1930's Shanghai, their life and feelings. Mao Dun follows a tradition of male narration and resorts to too much reason, a fact that makes the women's life oversimplified even without the writer's consciousness. The predetermined theme and concise structure reduce the novel's aesthetic value to a discount. Female characters under his pen are shadowed with a mythological tint, which can only be explained as transformed models of real life women in the eyes of men.
