In connection with the present actual situation of the design & type slection for an automatic control project on the heavy units in our country petrochemical industry and combination with the writer's construction experience, this paper summarized the installation & test run methods of an automatic control project on the heavy units. The installation of some special instruments & the test run of some special control systems on the heavy units were emphatically introduced. By taking the flue gas generator on a 180×l0 4t/a catalytic cracking unit in Sudan as an example, this paper expounded the dynamic modeling test method before the units are started up.
