This article describes the basic structure of the transmission standard ISDB-T for Japanese digital terrestrial television and the main point is on the discussion and analysis of the technical characteristics of the standard.Maintaining reliable data channel and possessing strong ability for Integrated Services and further devel-opment are the basic requirements for Digital Terrestrial Television System,and the understanding and definition about it is still broadening.[
