The principle,method and technique of geophysical prospecting radar(GPR) are presented.Its application state both in and out China in various fields,such as infrastructure construction,environmental engineering,archaeological study and cultural relics preservation,especially in the exploitation and utilization of mineral resources,is described and its wide application prospect in China's west exploitation and construction analyzed.
