Participatory teacher training aims to empower teachers by having them engaging in equal dialogue with the trainers and other teachers, to construct new knowledge on the basis of their existing knowledge, and to share their own experiences with each other in co - operative learning. In this article the author shares some of her thought based on her own personal practice about the basic principles and functions of participatory teacher training as well as some of the constraints and the corresponding strategies in organizing participatory teacher training.
