Methyl glycoside sesquistearate is an excellent emulsifying agent and is used wildly in personal care product:The influence of the catalyst and temperature and the esterification reaction of stearic acid with methyl glycoside were reviewed.A suitable synthesis process of methyl glycoside sesquistearate was founded.
