经济开放度既是衡量经济竞争力的重要指标，也是体现经济发展水平的重要表征。在改革开放的巨大推动下，重庆对外经济开放度已明显提高。然而，与发达地区比较，目前重庆的对外开放水平依然较低、经济竞争实力依然较弱，与直辖市在西部所处的地位极不相称。因此，必须进一步强化对外开放和提高经济竞争力的主体地位，营创扩大对外开放和提高经济竞争力的市场体系，实施新一轮“走出去”、“引进来”和“科技兴贸”战略举措，以大力提高重庆经济的开放度。

The opening extent is not only an important index to measure economic competence but also an important symbol to embody economic development level. The extent of Chongqing 's economy opening to outside world has obviously been increased under the promotion of reform and opening up. However, the opening extent remains low, and economic competence remains weak. The name of municipality dose not match the position in the west in comparison with developed areas. Thus, the main body position of economic competence must be raised and the opening up must be further enlarged. Market system of improvement of economic competence and greater opening extent must be created. The new strategy of import and export and vitalizing business by science and technology must be implemented to raise the opening extent of Chongqing 's economy.
