The SET (Secure Electronic Transactions) is an secure credit card transactions protocol, designed by MasterCard and VISA.A fair and effective secure electronic transactions protocol (SET 1)based on SET is given in the paper.The present protocol not only maintains the characters of SET,but also attains the evidences of a transaction and sets the status of a transaction.Finally, the security,effectiveness and fairness of the protocol are discussed.
