It is introduced that the method of wavelet analysis is applied to recognizing the defects of plate form in rolling process. In the method, to filter the noise of the measure dates the decomposed and reform of wavelet are used. Then the filtered dates are applied to approach three defect models: straight, parabola and sine cover. Finally, a suitable is found. The application of sine cover model can solve the problem that the quarter wave and compound wave are recognized in usual methods.
