第二次国共合作的历史启示主要包括 :国家、民族的利益是必须遵循的最高原则 ;顺应形势、顺乎民心是不可抗拒的历史潮流 ;国共积极努力转变政策是维护国家、民族利益的正义之举。第二次国共合作对台湾回归、祖国统一具有重要的借鉴价值 :今天台湾回归、实现祖国统一是中华民族根本利益所在 ,是任何阶级、政党不可违背的大原则 ,维护者兴、逆之者亡 ;当今 ,中国共产党与台湾当局只有通过双方政策的积极转变 。

The enlightenment we have gained from the second Guomintang Communist co operation is that the interest of the state and nation is the primary principle which one must follow, that complying with the historical trend and the desire of the people is an irresistible historical current, and that it is a justified move for both the Guomintang and the communist Party to readjust their respective policies in the interest of the state and the nation. A great deal can be learned from the second Guomintang Communist co operation with regard to the return of Taiwan and the unification of China, which is now the cardinal interest of the Chinese people and the most important principle that no party or social class can violate. Whoever defends it will thrive while whoever goes against it will perish. Today the realization of the peaceful unification of China depends on the positive changes in policy on the part of both the Chinese Communist Party and the Taiwan authorities.
