Comparison:Differences between Chinese and Western Culture

修辞不外乎是炼词炼句和运用辞格 ,使语言表达准确 ,生动形象。从文化角度看修辞似乎有点“离经叛道” ,其实 ,无论是广义的“调整或运用文辞” ,还是狭义的“修饰文辞” ,均和日常生活中的文化现象密切相关。在跨文化交际中 ,以本国文化的接受心理去调整或修饰异国文辞 ,难免会削足适履 ,导致文化冲突。

Rhetoric aims at how to choose words,make sentences and apply the figures of speech in order to make language accurate and vivid. Discussing rhetoric from the angle of culture, it seems to depart from the classics and rebel against orthodoxy. In fact, either a broad sense “adjusting or applying the rhetoric”, or a narrow sense “modifier” probably has the relationship with the culture of daily life. During the intercultural communication, it will cause the cultural conflict if the native habits of acceptance are used to adjust or modify different diction. From the angle of comparison, the author wants to discuss and analysize the differences between the Chinese and Western culture.
