摘要
在多媒体技术中 ,静态图像压缩技术成为世界学术界研究的热点 .本文在国际标准组织制定的静态图像压缩标准JPEG的基础上 ,提出了一种采用新的傅立叶分析技术—算术傅立叶变换 (AFT)来快速计算离散余弦变换 (DCT)系数值 ,改进了静态图像压缩技术 ,克服了DCT运算速度慢的缺点 ,同时克服了传统的快速离散余弦变换 (FDCT)程序复杂 ,子进程多的缺点 .实验表明运用新型的AFT的DCT快速算法代替传统的DCT算法实现静态图像压缩可以使运算时间大幅度减少 。
In the multimedia technology, the technique of static image compression becomes the focus researched in the world academic circle. In this paper, an improved technique of static image compression is completed based on the JPEG standard, the technique uses a new Fourier analysis technique called the arithmetic Fourier transform(AFT) to compute discrete cosine transform (DCT) coefficient.The improved technique overcomes the disadvantage of a low speed for the traditional DCT algorithm and the disadvantage of containing too many subroutines for the traditional fast discrete cosine transform (FDCT). Experiment indicates that the improved technique of static image compression which uses a new fast algorithm for computing DCT using AFT instead of the traditional DCT can greatly decrease the computing time.The improved technique presents a new approach for the technique of static image compression .
