以遥感和 GIS等具有动态监测 ,综合分析 ,宏观控制能力的高新技术为支撑 ,构建了莆田市环境信息系统 .该系统以人口、资源、经济和环境为对象 ,深入研究它们内部和彼此间的相互关系与变化规律 。

Putain environmental information system is established by the high technology of GIS and Remote Sensing which have functions of dynamic monitor, comprehensive analysis and macroscopic control. On the basis of population, resources, economy and environment, the system studies the mutual relations and rules among them. It provides a modern technical means for the administration of Putian environment.
