In this paper the writer compared HDPE pipe with concrete pipe on cost of construction, time limit for a project, hydraulic condition and others, points out that HDPE pipe possesses some advantages such as lighter weight, lower comprehensive cost and shortening time in construction. HDPE pipe has a good applied prospect in municipal drainage engineering.
