Xu Zi Ge and Ba Songs

巴人善歌，清江流域至今仍然十分流行的五句歌就是巴歌的重要形式之一。它是民间歌师吸收唐诗七绝和楚辞的优点而创作的，最能体现巴歌风味和特色，是中外诗坛上的一种险怪诗体。句单、韵密，以第五句为诗眼。清江流域五句体的成熟，标志着中国诗坛平仄一统局面的彻底结束。五句体诗歌全方位的成熟，还需进一步研究和应用楚辞、唐诗卓越的艺术成就，更有待于西部经济的繁荣和腾飞。

Abstract : Ba people is good at singing. Five line verse, still prevailing in the Qing River valley today, is one of the most important forms of Ba Songs. It was created by folk singers throngh absorbing the virtues of Qi-jue and Chu-ci. It reflects the special flavor and charactenstics of Ba songs and becomes a very strange style of poetry. The maturity of five-line style of poetry in the Qing River valley marked the end of the single of the ping-and ze style of poetry. Its maturity has to await further study and use of artistic merits of Chu-ci and Tang-poems, and morever await economic prosperity and development of westen China.
