This paper describes the impacts of environmental issues on the strategy for sustainable development in China,analyzing the basic causes leading the the environmental problems.Measures and strategies to coordinate environment and economic sustainable development are put forward in terms of renovation of concepts relating to economic development,progress of science and technology,administration,environmental legal system and public involvement.
