Large flood along the Changjiang River in 1998 and El Nio event

1997～ 1 998年出现了 2 0世纪中最强的一次厄尔尼诺事件。根据长江洪水与厄尔尼诺事件的实测资料 ,指出 1 998年的长江巨洪与这次厄尔尼诺事件具有较密切的关系。同时讨论了厄尔尼诺事件影响长江洪水的物理途径 。

The El Nio event of the greatest intensity occured in 1997~1998 of the 20th century. Based on the measured data between the flood along the Changjiang River and the El Nio event, we found that a comparatively close relationship between the large flood along the Changjiang River in 1998 and this El Nio event existed. Meanwhile the physical path of the influence of the El Nio event on the large flood along the Changjiang River was discussed, which plays important role in the indication function for the long-term and over long-term forecast of the large flood along the Changjiang River.
