该文就几年来的工作体验,谈谈对地方传统民居及其文化研究与保护的粗浅认识。

On the eve of theNew Millennium, the local traditional residence of Yunnan Province with its clear feature, different forms and plenty connotation is facing with a problem of to be or not to be. Whether tradition and modernization can be organized, or protection and development are confliction during this changing period of culture and society reforming. Can we find out element of future from tradition or on the contrary. This article is based on the author's working experience in recent years. And by this the writer will show his opinion to the study and protection of traditional residence and its culture.
