Many applications of A_k values of metallic materials in explosive wel- ding and explosive shaping are discussed.These are:to predict whether brittle rupture of metallic material takes place after explosion,to estimate the heating temperature of brittle materials in explosive welding,to foresee the degree of difficulty of the appearance of adiabatic shear line(“flying line”)in the interior of metals in explosive welding processes,to guide the post process and utilization of composite metals after explosion,etc.
