With the increasing improvement and continual development of the socialist market econo- my in China, various industries have paid attention to the product quality more and more. In order to promote the scientification, proceduralization and standardization of the quality control in S/M trade, progressively realize the management patterns in line with the international practical ways, improve the S/M management level and enhance the market competition, implementing the ISO 9000 family stan- dards in S/M industry is imperative. The paper introduces the basic concept of the 1S09000 family stan- dards, describes the meaning, methods and procedures of carrying out them and acquiring authentica- tion.
