21th CENTURY TOURISM OF SHILIN NATIONAL PARK

2 1世纪石林旅游会遇到良好的机遇和面临严峻的挑战。石林要在 2 1世纪能做到可持续性发展旅游业 ,就必须严格保护资源和生态环境。还必须尽早做好如下工作 :(1)建立新型的石林国家公园 ;(2 )建立石林游客中心和石林博物馆 ,做好科普工作 ;(3)建立石林图书馆和信息中心 ;(4 )加强石林研究中心和石林研究基金建设 ,不断为游客提供新知识 ;(5 )加强新型、先进的服务设施建设 ,为游客进行知识创新、交流和商务活动提供良好条件 ;(6 )不断对石林管理人员、职工和导游进行培训 ,不断更新他们的知识。

WT5BZ]The tourism of Shilin National Park has experienced the spontaneous and commercial periods. In the first period, tourists visited Shilin freely and the administration agency obtained no benefit. In the commercial period, the administration agency greatly developes the park and profits from tickets, taking the scenic and tourism resources as special commercial goods. The local government pays attention to its high financial income, and has built many tourism facilities. As a result, the landscape has been damaged. In order to sustainably develop the tourism, the Shilin scenic and tourism resources, ecological systems and environment should be conserved and protected, even improved.In the 21th century, the tourism of Shilin National Park will have an excellent opportunity and face critical challenges for its development. For the sustainable development of Shilin tourism, the following should be stressed: (1) setting up a new type of Shilin National Park; (2) build up the Shilin Visitor Center and Museum for science popularization; (3) building up the Shilin Information Center and Library; (4) strengthening the construction of the Shilin Research Center and Shilin Research Foundation, continuously providing different visitors with new knowledge; (5) providing visitors with new and advanced facilities, including transportation and communication, also making them engage in scientific research and commercial activities; (6) training the managers, staffs and guides to renew their knowledge and manage the Park well.
