Sepiolite is a new catalytic material with a high specific surface area and unique porous structure. The modification of sepiolite, including the acid treatment, ion-exchanged crosslink and so on, is summarized. The application of the modified sepiolite in the catalytic support is reviewed. The future development is also discussed.
