中文商标英译探微

On the Translation of Trademarks from Chinese into English

笔者就一些中文商标的译名实例进行分析研究 ,并借鉴国外商标命名与翻译的经验教训 ,探寻中文商标翻译应遵循的理论原则与技巧。在中文商标英译时要扼守“信、达、雅”的翻译标准及原则 ,采取灵活多样的翻译方法 ,力求译成的英文商标音义俱佳。据此 ,我们可运用“音译法”、“直译法”和“意译法”等方法译好中文商标。

Translation of Chinese Trademarks is of great practical significance. This paper is aimed at discussing the standards and principles of translating trademarks from Chinese into English by analyzing some typical examples. Methods of translating Chinese trademarks into English are also recommended while the handling of the concrete technical problems in translation is explored into
