On the basis of observation results of Wangcun frozen-soil testing field in Hebei, this paper puts forward that the major influence factor of λ * is moisture condition, and also puts forward on the condition of heavy silty soil the relation of λ * and groundwater depth and the retation of λ  and groundwater depth and moisture conteut before freezing.
