KANG You- wei and ZHANG Tai- yan proposed their own views on Chinese ethics which had a great influence on Chinese social reform in different aspects.The paper analyzes the significance and value of KANG and ZHANG's ethical thought and their inherent factors thathelped and restricted the developmentof politics,economy and culture in the transformation of the m odern society.
