摘要
许多人认为对香港人而言 ,普通话不算是第二语言。本研究探讨焦虑对香港学生的普通话学习有没有影响。文章采用修正过的第二语言焦虑量表以测定焦虑程度 ,数据分析表明 ,第二语言学习焦虑与普通话呈负相关 ;父母普通话程度 ,学生自我评估的普通话程度以及学习普通话的动力 ,均与普通话学习的焦虑程度呈负相关 ,与普通话成绩呈正相关。另外 ,研究者还探讨了香港学生普通话学习的特殊性 ,以及由此产生的语言焦虑特点 ;并提出了减少焦虑 ,提高学生积极学习情绪的建议。
This study investigated whether language anxiety would have any impact on Hong Kong students' learning of Mandarin, arguably a second language. An adapted Foreign Language Anxiety Scale was used to measure students' anxiety level. The statistical analysis showed that there was a negative relationship between language anxiety and Mandarin achievement; besides, parents' Mandarin levels, self perceived competence, motivation were also found to be negatively correlated with language anxiety, but positively correlated with Mandarin achievement. Characteristics related to Hong Kong students' anxiety and Mandarin learning were identified, and ways of reducing anxiety in classrooms were also suggested.
