A new solid-extraction method of phenols in petroleum samples using Sep-Pak NH2 column was studied. The method can avoid the interference of hydrocarbons as isolated in reverse-phase HPLC with PDA detector,and improve the qualitative and quantitative analysis of phenols. For most phenols,the RSD% of HPLC results were smaller than 10%, the detection limits at 280nm were 0 02～0 04 μg/g.
