This article describes the technology of controlling stresses in the process of tensioning the tendons with post\|tensioning method with discussion on the method of computing the theoretical value of elongation. Having compared the theoretical elongation with the measured value, it puts forwards to an accurate, reliable method for estimating the prestress of the girders.\;
