The development and the application of the cold insulation materials for liquefied gases are introduced. The properties of polyurethane foam, especially the affecting factor of the thermal conductivity of rigid polyurethane foam are described. The cold insulation structure, application process and the experience are simply discussed. The preliminary view to cold insulation technology for liquefied natural gas is put forward.
