本文通过对一些中、英文互译例子的分析、探讨和研究 ,并引用有关学者的论述和见解 ,说明母语学习对外语教学的重要作用 ,提出一些加强母语学习的建议。

In this paper, the author attempts to explore the importance of Chinese learning in foreign languages teaching by means of analysing example sentences of translation, basing on some comments of scholars and suggests paying more attention to Chinese learning in foreign languages teaching.
