this paper studied the design flood risk of different dykes,presented the flood risk distribution and its numerical behaviors,and completely described the basic characteristics of the design flood risk.the understanding of these characteristics not only helps to design and operate dykes,but also is beneficial to enhance the awareness of the flood in a rational way.
