Atlanta: Where Success Is Not Enough

亚特兰大是一座新兴而有活力的城市,1996年奥运会主办权的获得足以使它令世人瞩目。本文在回顾城市发展历史和综述区域发展概况的基础上分析了城市区域发展的支撑体系,提出并尝试着解答了有关区域发展的一些问题,最后对城市发展前景进行展望,希望其发展理念和运作方式对我国城市的开发建设起到一定的借鉴意义。

Atlanta is a Cinderella city, which is quite young but with vitality. It focused the attention from around the world that the city captured the 1996centennial Olympic games. This paper reviewes the fast booming process of the city, describesthe portrait of the city region, analyzes the threelegs (business, community and government) of the stool, raises and tries to solve some critical questions of the region development, at the end itviewed the future of the region.
