该文较系统地阐述了日本传统插花的历史发展概况、艺术风格以及促进其发展的相关因素 .日本插花起源于中国唐代佛前供花 ,受日本传统文化、宗教思想影响 ,并在我国绘画理论基础上得以形式化 .在其发展过程中经历佛前供花、寺庙祭坛插花、宫庭插花、民间插花和现代插花几个过程 .历经十几个世纪 ,日本插花无论在理论上 ,还是实践上都取得了辉煌成就 。

The history, artistic style and other related factors of Japanese traditional flower arrangement are discussed. Japanese flower arrangement originated from the offerings in front of buddha of Tang Dynasty of China. It was influenced by philosophy of Buddhism, Japanese tradition and its literature. It becomes stereotyped on the basis of Chinese painting theories. In the process of development Japanese flower arrangement experienced such forms as offerings in front of Buddha,sacrificial offerings in temple, decorations in the palace, spread among the people and finally the modern flower arrangement. Japanese flower arrangement has gained great achievements not only in theories but also in practices, and therefore it is developed into one of traditional arts with Japanese national characteristic——IKEBANA
