This paper states the main factors affecting the formation of the ice and snow tourism resources in Beijing mountainous region.The ice and snow tourism resources are being affected by climate,landforms and hydrological characters.The advantages for ice and snow tourism include location,travelers,technology and economical basis.There are three types for ice and snow tourism,they are ice-snow landscape,ice-snow sport and ice-snow economy.Basing on the natural conditions and developing emphasis,the region can be divided into five parts.
