Considering the reality of Shenzhen and starting with the promotion of industry and the acquisition of the advantages, the paper analyses the necessity to build Shenzhen into a logistics centre. On the basis of Shenzhen's industrial environment, geographical conditions and status of transportation network, it expounds the advantages and possibilities of building the city into a logistics centre and points out that Shenzhen has every reason to take the lead to develop the logistics industry and become a logistics centre.
