摘要
文章分析了异构平台协作环境的实现原理及其优缺点,研究了如何通过对Java虚拟机的扩充来实现基于复制副本方式的虚拟协作环境VCE,并对协作环境中的一些关键技术给出了解决方案。VCE可以用于Internet上异构的软硬件环境下的协同设计,协同编辑,远程教学等应用中。它具有传输量少、响应速度快的优点。
This paper explores the theories of collaborative environment and gives a comparison among different collabo-rative environment architectures.Java is a platform-independent and Internet-oriented programming language,however it does not have built-in mechanisms for developing multi-user collaborative applications.Through extending and enhancing Java platform,the authors have designed and implemented a collaborative environment ,Virtual Collaborative Environment ,based on the replicated architecture.It offers quick response time and lower network traffic and has more flexibility to be used to communication over the Internet.
