摘要
在人口高密度的城市中心区,步行交通具有十分重要的地位,对城市交通的影响较大,解决的办法是将步行交通与车行交通分开来。针对广州城市交通难的问题,分析步行交通的现状和对城市生活方式的影响,提出了建立广州中心区步行通道系统的构想,以促进步行交通的连续化、系统化和网络化。
The value and power of the vehicle have proved so great that it seems impossible to imagine a future without car. But who will willingly give up the degree of freedom provided by walk in city center? In order to avoid air pollution, noise, danger, congestion, CBDs must be saved from the pressure of automobiles. It is possible to solve the problem as soon as we make a distinction between vehicles and pedestrians. Vehicles are not very good for short trips in the CBDs of a large city. The pedestrian passageway system of the CBDs in Guangzhou City will be designed for the people only. Everyone can walk from one place to another place without danger. Strolling around could be delightful. The urban area must be broken into central traffic areas within which, winding corridor, Qilou and the sky Qilou should be built for internal movements on foot. The pedestrian passageway system will be one part of the CBD. It is probably nice to arrange sufficient sitting places in the passageway for pedestrians.
