摘要
在分析已有的基于色彩的图像检索方法存在问题的基础上 ,提出一种新的基于色彩的图像检索方法 .该方法对每个图像单独进行颜色量化 ,计算其颜色直方图并排序 ,根据颜色在图像中出现的频率和图像中各种颜色的对比强度确定图像之间的相似度 .使用的图像特征占用存储空间非常小 ,比较速度快 .测试了该方法识别图像和检索相似图像的能力 。
First analyzed in this paper are problems of image retrieval methods based on color comparison. And then a new approach to color based image retrieval is presented. It quantizes colors of each image separately, sorts the color histogram, and then compares the difference of corresponding colors ranked by their presence ratio in two images and the difference of colors which contrast strongly with each other. The storage requirement of the image feature is very low and the algorithm works fast. Experimental results are given to show its ability of identifying images and retrieving similar images. Its performance is better than that of the histogram distance method.
