An introduction is made to the basic p rinciple for density determination of water in crude oil by mass flowmeter test method and the effect of density precision on metering accuracy.A detailed accou nt is given of the law that the relative error in water content of light,medium and heavy crude,and the metering error of net oil change with water content whe n the density precision by mass flowmeter stands at 0.003g/,thus providing ref erence for selecting right metering devices and methods for individual-well prod uction.
