The paper analyzes the characteristic parameters related to the thermal stability of materials. The often used experiment methods of evaluating the thermal risk of materials have been compared.The paper tales the accelerating calorimeter as an example to study the application of thermal insulating and metering testing method on the evaluating material's thermal stability. In the last,the paper points out that the thermal insulating and metering method can provide more reliable and extensively applied testing data that reflects the thermal risk of the materials.
